Using a business card scanner with LACRM

LACRM doesn't have a direct integration with any business card scanners, but there are a few ways to use a card scanner with LACRM:

Option 1: Upload business cards to your phone's contacts.

  • Set up your card scanner to upload cards as contacts to your phone.
  • Sync your phone's contacts to Google. Learn how to sync an iPhone with Google Contacts here. Learn how to sync an Android with Google Contacts here.
  • Next, sync your Google Contacts with LACRM. Learn how to sync Google Contacts with LACRM here.
  • Once both syncs are set up, scanned cards will appear in your phone's contacts, sync to Google, and then finally over to LACRM.
  • Please note: there is a delay in syncing contacts from Google to LACRM. It will take a few hours after scanning a card for the contact to appear in the CRM.

Option 2: Upload business cards to Google Contacts.

  • Set up your card scanner to upload cards as contacts to Google Contacts.

Option 3: Upload business cards to a spreadsheet for manual import.

  • Set up your card scanner to upload cards to a spreadsheet, so that each new card create a new row in the file.
  • When ready, import the spreadsheet to LACRM. Learn more about importing to LACRM here.
  • Please note: you will need to import multiple spreadsheets over time as you gather new business cards. Remove any contacts from the spreadsheet that have already been imported before importing the same file again to avoid duplication.
