How can I send emails to groups of people?
Using Mailchimp.com Integration
Less Annoying CRM integrates with Mailchimp.com to sync groups from your CRM with audiences in Mailchimp's system (that's Freddie, the Mailchimp mascot, over there on the right). The integration is easy to use- just build some groups of contacts in the CRM, connect your Less Annoying CRM account with your Mailchimp account, and then specify which Mailchimp audience you'd like to sync with each group.
You can check out the full documentation for our Mailchimp integration right here in our help section to learn all the details about how to set up the connection. You can also go straight to the Mailchimp Integration page in the CRM (which you can find via your Settings page in the CRM) and watch a short movie to learn how to use this feature.
Using another system (e.g. Constant Contact)
To send a bulk email using a system other than Mailchimp, you need to create and export a list of contacts from the CRM that you can import into that system. Here's how:
- Use our Groups feature to organize the appropriate contacts into a group.
- Move your mouse over the "Contacts" tab in the navigation bar on the far left. At the bottom left of the pop-out menu, you'll see a list of all of your groups. Click on the group name to call up the list of all the contacts/companies in that group.
- Then click on the Export link at the top of the inner page menu on the left.
- An Excel file will be downloaded to your computer. From there, you can manipulate the contact data as you see fit, and then import the spreadsheet into most any other system.
We don't actually send emails from Less Annoying CRM itself (yet!), but once you have the Excel file, you have complete control over the data. If Mailchimp is not your system of choice, there are tons of bulk mailing options out there, so you should have no trouble finding one that fits your needs.
