Formatting tips for notes and text area fields

Note: the below options are available for both notes and text area fields. Text area fields will not show the toolbar button by default, but admins can edit the field to show the toolbar by default. Learn how to edit a custom field here.

Helpful tips to know:
  • Start a new paragraph by selecting “Enter” or start a new line break by selecting “Shift + Enter”. Line breaks will have less space compared to a new paragraph.
  • Paste text without formatting to avoid adding unintentional formatting. To paste without formatting, right click and choose “Paste as plain text” or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Command + Shift + V
  • Remove formatting from entered text using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Command + \
  • Undo accidental changes by selecting Ctrl/Command + Z
  • Redo changes that you’ve accidentally undone by selecting Shift + Ctrl/Command + Z
