New feature: Transfer pipeline items between records

You can now transfer a pipeline item from one contact or company to another!

Pipeline items are tied to contacts and companies. This makes it really easy to track a contact’s progress from a lead to a customer overtime. Or any other process you'd like to track! But your business isn’t static. Customers quit jobs, new people are hired at companies, companies go out of business - the world around your business is constantly changing. And we want to make it as easy as possible for you to keep on top of your work in this dynamic environment.

For these circumstances, and many others, we created a new feature that allows you to transfer a pipeline status from one contact or company to another. Now, if you hear word that the lead you were pursuing changed jobs and was replaced by a new employee, it won’t slow you down. No need to spend time deleting the old pipeline status and manually creating a status on the new contact’s page. Instead, with the click of a button, you can transfer the pipeline status from the old contact or company to the new one.

Here is our old contact with a pipeline item attached.

When we edit a pipeline status, we can click the "transfer" button to quickly attach the pipeline item to a different contact or company.

We have an "after" image here of the same pipeline item attached to a new contact.

All the history attached to this pipeline item will be moved to the new contact. So you don't have to worry about losing any important details when contacts come and go and companies change hands.
