Creating a shortcut to LACRM on your computer

It is possible to create a shortcut to LACRM in your web browser, which will give you an icon you can use to more easily access the CRM. Rather than opening your browser, searching for the CRM, and then opening it, you can simply click on the shortcut to open the CRM straightaway. Here are some instructions for creating a shortcut based on the web browser you use.

Google Chrome

In Google Chrome, select the three vertical dots in the upper right corner, just below the “X” that you would select to close the window. In the menu that appears, mouse over “More tools” which appears near the bottom. Then select “Create shortcut…”

A window will open where you can enter a name for the shortcut, perhaps “LACRM” or “Less Annoying CRM.” After you’ve entered a name you like, you can select “Create.” That will add a shortcut to the CRM directly to your desktop. If you’d like it to appear in your taskbar instead, you can click and drag the new icon to your taskbar. Alternatively, you can right click the new shortcut and select “Pin to taskbar.” Going forward, you can use that new shortcut saved on your desktop or in your taskbar to open LACRM directly.

Microsoft Edge

In Microsoft Edge, select the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner, just below the “X” that you would select to close the window. In the menu that appears mouse over “Apps” near the middle. You can then select “Install this site as an app.”

A window will open where you can enter a name for the shortcut, perhaps “LACRM” or “Less Annoying CRM.” After you’ve entered a name you like, you can select “Install.” A new icon for LACRM will appear in your taskbar, and you can right click on that icon and select “Pin to taskbar” to save it. Going forward, you can click on that icon in your taskbar to open LACRM directly.

Mozilla Firefox

In Mozilla Firefox, you’ll need to make the window small enough that you can see your desktop behind the window. After you’ve done that, you can click on the small lock icon just to the left of the website, and then drag it to your desktop.

That will add a shortcut to the CRM directly to your desktop.

Safari

In Safari, you’ll need to make the window small enough that you can see your desktop behind the window. After you’ve done that, you can click on the website name in the address bar, and drag it to your desktop.
