How to add a contact for your logging address to your email program

Less Annoying CRM uses an email logging feature that allows you to store all your communication with any contact/company in the CRM for posterity. Your CRM account comes with a specific email address that you’ll need to include in your email to save it back to the CRM. But trying to remember that specific email address can be tricky, and to make things easier you can save the address as a contact in your email program. Then you’ll be able to search using the name you gave your logging address instead of trying to remember the address itself. How to add a contact to your email program will depend on what email program you use.

Using Gmail / Google Workspace

If you use Gmail, you can add your email logging address to Google Contacts. In the upper right corner of your Gmail inbox, you can select the menu icon. In the dropdown that appears, select “Contacts” (you might need to scroll to find it).

That will take you to Google Contacts. In the upper left corner, you can then select “Create contact.”

A dialog will open to add a new contact. You can enter any name that you’d like for this contact. Keep in mind that you’ll be searching using this name so pick something you think is easy to remember. For example, you could name the contact “Email logging,” “CRM log,” “CRM email,” or anything else that makes sense to you.

Next, enter your unique logging address into the email field and then be sure to save the contact. Going forward, you’ll be able to search using the name you added instead of trying to remember the unique address, or copy/pasting it every time.

If you use Outlook installed on your computer, you can add your logging address to Outlook contacts. In the lower left corner of your Outlook inbox, select the contacts icon.
