What will I actually be paying per year?
Annual billing is often tempting because it offers a per user price that is slightly lower than monthly billing. However, annual billing requires you to pay for a full year either in advance, or by the end of the service year. As such, the true cost of annual billing should factor in the entire year.
The prices bolded below are the total upfront cost for a full year, for the minimum number of users for that tier.
Pipedrive Essential
- $12.50 per user per month
- Because you are billed annually, your minimum upfront cost is 12.50 x 12 = $150 (for a single user)
Pipedrive Advanced
- $24.90 per user per month
- Because you are billed annually, your minimum upfront cost is 24.90 x 12 = $290.80 (for a single user).
Pipedrive Professional
- $49.90 per user per month
- Because you are billed annually, your minimum upfront cost is 49.90 x 12 = $598.80 (for a single user).
Pipedrive Enterprise
- $99 per user per month.
- Because you are billed annually and you are required to have at least 10 users on this tier, your minimum upfront cost is 99 x 10 x 12 = $11,880.
When should I pay monthly instead of annually?
While there are many reasons why you would opt to pay monthly instead of annually (for example, the ability to switch CRMs whenever you want), one of the more straightforward reasons would be the duration of time you plan on using a CRM.
Listed below is the maximum duration of time you would need to use a CRM tier before it is more "worth it" to pay for a full year instead.

Pipedrive Essential
- $18 per user per month
- This is 44% more expensive than the monthly price billed annually.
- For a single user, you should opt for monthly billing if you plan on using Pipedrive Essential for fewer than 150 / 18 = ~8 months.
Pipedrive Advanced
- $33 per user per month
- This is 32.5% more expensive than the monthly price billed annually.
- For a single user, you should opt for monthly billing if you plan on using Pipedrive Advanced for fewer than 290.80 / 33 = ~9 months.
Pipedrive Professional
- $59 per user per month
- This is 18.2% more expensive than the monthly price billed annually.
- For a single user, you should opt for monthly billing if you plan on using Pipedrive Professional for fewer than 598.80 / 59 = ~10 months.
Pipedrive Essential
- Will allow you to handle basic contact management, including pipeline workflow tracking. You will have limited document and email management, and will only have access to basic reports of your data.
Pipedrive Advanced
- Offers more email and document management, additional forecasting reports, but limited team permission management.
Pipedrive Professional (free trial is on this tier)
- Includes more in-depth forecasting reports, team permission and goal setting, with slight limitations on types of user permissions and the number of automated workflows.
Pipedrive Enterprise
- The exact same feature set as the Professional tier, with more workflow automations and user permissions allowed.
Many CRMs offer a free version of their software with severe feature limitations. While appealing to small businesses or solopreneurs, most free versions are simply marketing tools to introduce new users to a paid tier and are not designed to be scalable.
