Trying to remember when you last met with someone, or when that next appointment is? Lots of you have asked for an easier way to find an event than clicking through your calendar. Now you can search your events by name, location, or description to find exactly the one you're looking for.
What it does
The Search window now has an Events tab. Type a word or two, and it looks through three parts of every event:
- Name: like "Quarterly review" or "Lunch with Dana."
- Location: like an office address, a restaurant, or "Zoom."
- Description: any details or agenda notes you added to the event.
A few other things to know:
- Past and upcoming events: look back at a meeting from months ago, or find one that's coming up.
- Repeating events, too: a weekly call shows up once, with a note about when it repeats.
- Your team's events: you'll also see teammates' events that you have access to.
Why it's handy
- Find past meetings fast: look up the last time you met with a client without scrolling back through months of calendar.
- Double-check what's coming up: quickly find an upcoming event without hunting for the right day.
- Search by place: find every meeting at a certain office or address by searching the location.
How to use it
Click Search in the left sidebar (or use the keyboard shortcut: Opt+1 on a Mac or Alt+1 on Windows), choose the Events tab, and start typing.
