
Our developers have made it possible to set a default value for all custom text fields! This is a feature that we’ve been asked for a lot over the years as a way to save time and decrease data entry.
A common example I’ve heard from customers is that maybe 90% of their customers work in one industry, so it’s a hassle to manually type the industry in every time. But maybe that other 10% of customers varies wildly and it doesn’t make sense to use a dropdown field. That’s where a default option for a text field comes in handy. Now, it’s possible to have a default value filled out for the 90% of the time that the default field applies.
