We're in the middle of some larger projects, which means this week I just have one new improvement to announce: As part of our ongoing effort to improve custom fields, you can now import and migrate data into dropdown fields and checkbox lists!

Importing

If you've added custom dropdown or checkbox list fields to your contact or company records, you can now import data from a spreadsheet into those fields. Our importer will let you map values from your spreadsheet to options in the CRM so that all your data will be clean and consistent once it's in the CRM.

Migrating

Even though it seems like ages ago, we actually didn't even have the option to create dropdown or checkbox fields on contacts and companies until recently. That means some of our long-time customers have been forced to put data into text fields that really should have been in dropdown/checkbox fields. If you're in that situation, I'm excited to announce that we now have the ability to migrate the data from your existing unstructured text field to one of our new structured field types. If you want to do that, just reach out and we can take care of it for you.
