There are a couple ways that you can get your data from the system into a spreadsheet for your use. If you want all of your contacts and companies in a spreadsheet, then head to the Export Contacts page. On the left side of the page you will see two download options to download your contacts and companies – one will save your information in an Excel spreadsheet (.XLS), and the other in a .CSV file.
.CSV stands for Comma-Separated Values. It is a better way to store large amounts of information in a format that is easily read by computers. Usually, you won’t be able to tell the difference between a .CSV and .XLS file since most spreadsheet programs (such as Microsoft Office Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers) will format the data in identical ways when you open it.
It depends – if you have a lot of contact and company records, then a .CSV file will be a better option for you. Either way, you’re data will be saved in a spreadsheet that you can open and manipulate however you’d like!
