Much like just about everyone else, Microsoft has spent a lot of time of late talking about the importance of the cloud in the future of both computing and of Microsoft. Despite a lot of talk, however, Microsoft's entry into web-based software has been rather haphazard. With their recent announcement of Office 365, Microsoft's strategy for cloud computing seem to be coming in to focus.

If you own a modern smartphone, you generally have two different options when you want to read web content. You can either open up your phone's web browser and read the content online (like you do on your computer), or you can download an app from the content provider and get the content that way. Which do you choose?

LucidChart is a great web-based flowchart tool. It's going up against Microsoft's incumbent product Visio, and I think it's worth a serious look the next time you need to make a flowchart.
