Updates to Mac Chrome application shortcuts and the iOS fullscreen webapp generator
We updated two of our previously released tools recently. The first provides an easier interface for creating Chrome application shortcuts on a Mac. The second lets you create fullscreen webapp shortcuts on the home screen of your iPad (extending the previous support for iPhone and iPod).

Tip: Pin your taskbar to the side of your screen
Have you ever wondered why the Windows an Mac OSX taskbars run along the bottom of the screen? From a UI standpoint it makes way more sense to have that bar running along the left or right side of the screen instead of across the bottom. In this post I explain why you should give the vertical taskbar a chance.

Create application shortcuts in Google Chrome on a Mac
One of the best features of Chrome is the ability to create "application shortcuts" that let you launch web sites as stand alone applications. Unfortunately, application shortcuts are disabled in Chrome for Macs. I'm a big fan of webapps, so I wrote a little script that lets you create your own Chrome application shortcuts on a Mac.
